Darn it!!! Didn’t mean to send. Anyway, never could stand that bullshitter Obama, though my sisters and my mother before them (may she rest in peace), thinks he walks on water. They may not believe in Jesus, but boy do they believe in St. Barack!! And Hill is almost worse.

I’ve been hoping since I was in intermediate school and the Vietnam War was raging that we would come to our senses as a country, but obviously it’s never going to happen. I graduated from HS in 1972 and the war was still raging. And basically has been ever since. Wow, what a country!!

Oh these chickens are going to come home to roost all right. Good and hard.

But I figure we're gonna get our asses kicked out of West Asia and Europe (and slink quietly out of East Asia because China's obviously out of our league) and then we're going to spend 5-10 years trying to throw our weight around in Latin America, disastrously.

And then, and then it'll come home Civil War 2: American Style. God help us.

I think you are 100% correct. The more I learn about actual American history, the more ashamed I become. And more deeply frustrated with the Democrats, who seem determined to spend all their careers being "not as bad as the Republicans," instead of doing the right thing

Yes, it's a spectacularly shameful history with flashes of idealistic fervor that dumbasses like myself used to excuse the sustained horror for decades.

Spot on. Thanks for the post. Despite the depression, this is my new favorite Substack

Yours is the ONLY email I read this morning. And I totally agree with everything you said. Never could stand that sanctimonious, bullshitt

Make sure not to exert yourself until way after the symptoms subside. For God sakes, don't go exercising. Take care.

Good tip. I've only taken short walks around the block with the dog. Not my usual 3 miles a day.
