I haven’t voted Democrat for years, they would have to change A LOT before I would consider doing it again. And besides, I consider myself a deplorable, they obviously don’t want my kind!! And, like you Mr. Turner, I am surrounded by Dems who believe religiously every thing the MSM prints or says about Ukraine, Biden, the economy, etc. And I don’t understand how these people I used to respect used to be anti-war, etc. They have all turned pro war, it seems. Thank you for the reference to “The Iron Law of Oligarchy” which I suppose leads one to Orwell’s fictional “The Theory and Practice of Oligarchical Collectivism” at the core of his novel “1984.” Euro-American politics are ruled by “Russia-hate” “China-hate” and “Muslim-hate.” It’s become impossible to have a political discussion without the framing of “…but the Russians/Chinese/Muslims will win if we don’t…”
What is “winning” in this context? Europe and America expropriating their natural resources and productive labor so that we can spend our days drunkenly casting bets on young people bashing one another about inside vast bowls of concrete and steel. Biden’s imperial bullying during his “Three Genocides” has set the stage for what’s coming in the last two years of Trump’s dictatorship — assuming that he doesn’t keel over dead and that Mother Nature doesn’t suddenly send us spiraling into mass starvation.

2027 is going to be a very bad year given fertilizer and diesel prices and lack of availability. Europe is very very vulnerable.
